Emergency Dental Consultation

An emergency consultation is an appointment with a dentist and involves taking a history of the patient complaint, checking medical details with a clinical and radiographic assessment of the acute dental problem. Multiple acute problems may require additional appointments and this may incur further fees. Treatment options will be discussed as appropriate including treatment costs. The emergency fee is for assessment of the single most acute problem includes radiographs and prescriptions for antibiotics and pain relief if appropriate.

Emergency Extraction

The routine removal of a tooth under local anaesthetic following a prior consultation ( emergency/new patient/routine exam) and does not include surgical removal or treatment under sedation. The cost of the extraction is in addition to the consultation fee.

Root Canal Treatment

The removal of an irreversibly infected or inflamed nerve tissue, cleaning of the nerve space and then filling with a root canal filling material. Prices are from £350.

Scale and Polish

A 30 minute appointment with our dental therapist/hygienist for a scale and polish of the teeth including oral hygiene advice and instruction. Please be aware that the fee for this service will be more if you are not a patient registered at our practice and that you may require more hygiene appointments depending upon the health of your mouth and need for treatment. Prices start from £37.50.

New Patient Examination

This is 30 minute consultation and involves the thorough clinical and radiographic examination of the oral and dental hard and soft tissues including oral cancer screen. Patient concerns both aesthetic, functional and of comfort (pain/sensitivity) will be assessed and discussed. Treatment options, maintenance regimen, costs will be discussed. Radiographs are included within the fee.

Routine Examination

As per new patient examination. Patient needs to have been seen at the practice within 12 months to be eligible for a routine exam, (not including emergency consult or treatment).

Re-cementation of a Crown, Veneer or Bridge

This fee is for the re-cementation of crown, bridge or veneer. Please be aware that this is in addition to the emergency consultation fee and sometimes it is not feasible or advised to recement a restoration. Prices start from £30.
